Ginger … for confinement month (after the delivery of baby).  That time(Feb 06)  the Chinese groceries store was having sale - $0.99 for 2 lbs.  MIL bought don’t know how many pounds (easily 20 or more).

This bag was for me and my husband to peel the skin to cook the ginger pork vinegar.  Both of us love the vinegar ginger.  We only had it once after the delivery of the baby as it is too heaty to be the “regular” everyday dishes.  Once in a blue moon MIL will make this for FIL because he too likes this dish a lot.  Wonder when we will have this dish again?  Soon?  HA HA … don’t think so.
