Alzheimer’s Disease also known as AD, is a common form of dementia or brain disorder that affect older people. AD can affect a person’s ability to manage his or her own daily activity. Approximately 5 million of Americans are affected by AD. I personally knew a friend whose grandfather had AD. It was so sad to see a person so strong and dependent deteriorated into a person who needed personal care at home to help with his daily routine. He was later moved to the nursing home before he passed on.
