A few months back I was having a problem with my SD110 camera. The camera was still working but the images have pink horizontal lines on them. Video capture was OK, no problem. My camera was out of warranty so I didn’t even bother to call Canon to check. It was then downgraded to my son’s toy. Luckily I still have another Canon digital camera, SD450, which I could use to take pictures for my blogs.
Then one day, a blogger friend told me on IM that her husband got free repair for their Canon digital camera which had the same problem as mine. Their camera was out of warranty too. She told me to check with Canon.
Immediately the next day, I called Canon Support toll free number. I was told that a vendor of theirs supplied a faulty CCD unit for the camera that has caused these malfunction. So they sent me a shipping label to mail the camera to them for repair. I mailed just the camera (without the accessories) as soon as I got the shipping label.
Waited for 3+ weeks after I mailed in the camera, and then I called to check on the status. Was told that my camera was already on the way back to me. The box arrived on Monday Sept 10th by Fedex.
I opened the box immediately and found a Canon box with a refurbished SD630. I was a bit confused. Then I read that they couldn’t find the part to replace in my old camera and for timely manner reason, they sent me a refurbished unit similar or better model than mine.
I was surprised! This new refurbished camera is much more better than my old SD110. I love the BIG LCD screen at the back. It came with all the new accessories and battery for this camera. Also, this one uses the same battery as my SD450. Now I can have back up batteries to use for BOTH cameras.

Canon support is top notch. Love their customer support. Easy and fast to deal with and always excellent result.
