When I started to use cloth diaper for my baby, I looked around on ways to properly wash the cloth diapers. As you may have known, washing cloth diapers you will have to use unscented, color and allergen free detergent. I use Trader Joe’s Next to Godliness Plant & Earth based detergent for washing the cloth diapers. But the diapers doesn’t smell good after washing. So I check out more options and one of them was adding a few drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil to the wash for cleansing.

I bought my Aura Cacia 100% Tea Tree Essential Oilfrom Whole Food Market for $7.99 plus sales tax for a 0.5fl oz/15ml bottle. I add this to my every day wash of cloth diapers and sure enough, it makes the load extra fresh after washing. It also helps to take off the smell from the cloth diapers. If you haven’t use this, you may want to try getting one. Besides the use for laundry, you can add this to the ‘oil lamp’.
