I spent a little time to check on the MAS airfare from LAX to KUL. Although I just returned from the trip but I was a little concern to find out how much increase there is affecting the new raise in fuel cost. When I first click the search button for a return trip from LAX to KUL, departing Aug 15th and returning on Oct 25th, I was glad to see the ticket price was USD315 each way. Then when I clicked continue, I saw the total price of the adult ticket to be $1250.90!! That is $620.90 of total taxes included to the airfare. And when I clicked a detail / breakdown of the taxes I saw this:

Guam: US Passenger Facility Charges USD 4.50 each

I only paid like $358 for my total tax during my most recent trip to KL. With this hike, I think it will be a long while before my next trip back there.
