Target sport shoes for toddler

The first week when we came back to LA, first thing I want to do is to get Brandon a new pair of shoes. The old Stride Rite shoes he has was getting too tight. I noticed his toes were red, especially on the sides of big toes. We actually went to see the doctor in Malaysia about the redness and the doctor told me it was in-grown nails. But I don’t think so. Caused immediately we got him this new pair of shoes, the redness went away. Then I figured out is the shoes problem and not in-grown nails.

This pair of size 8 1/2 Target Toddler Shoescost only $12.99 plus sales tax. Compare to a pair of Stride Rite shoes, this is much cheaper. Stride Rite can run anywhere between $25 – $50. This pair is very easy to wear and easy to take off. I like the velcro (hook and loop) as I can have him learn to wear his own shoes much easier. Only one thing that I noticed this pair of shoes different from Stride Rite shoes is the padding. Stride Rite has a lot of padding inside hence make it more comfortable for walking. But this pro may turn cons as the increase in padding may squeeze the toes too tigth together.

Overall, I like this Target shoes and will get another one if I can find a nice pair for his next size.
