Flying Goose Jasmine Rice

Rice is our staple food. We eat rice very often even though is not everyday but at least 4-5 times a week. Sometime early this year, the rice prices went up and became almost twice as much. It was a sudden change and many restaurants bought many sacks to keep for stock.

Prior to the price hike, a bag of 50 lbs Flying Goose Jasmine Rice was about $20-$22. Now the regular price is around $38. Sometimes last month, there was a promotion at Del Mar Supermarket at San Gabriel and was selling this 50 lbs bag of rice for only $30.99. So we bought a sack. We used to buy only the 25 lbs bag (@ $12) as it will last us for a few months and I hate to keep too much as I have limited storage space. But since the increase, a bag of 25 lbs Jasmine rice cost about $20-$22, we mind as well pay an additional $8 to get double the quantity. I think this bag of rice can last us for a year.
