We welcomed the arrival of this hardboard book titled My Mommy’s Tote to our toddler books collection. This is not any normal hardboard book but one with a lot of fun and surprises. My little boy is 2.5 years and he loves to go through ‘my purse’ and takes out all the credit cards, my ID and the changes in the zipper compartment. He is such a cute little busybody. I don’t want him to be playing with ‘my purse’ all the time and this My Mommy’s Tote is just a great replacement.

This hardboard book is definitely more fun that the real Mommy’s purse. It has so many accessories, activities, stories, flips and more. My son loves the removable ‘fake’ laptop and the credit card that came with the book. Those are the first things he took out from the purse. With the laptop, he pretends to be ‘just like Mommy’ working on the laptop and typing with his little fingers on the keyboard. With the credit card, he pretends ‘just like Mommy’ and swipes it between the kitchen cabinet doors. It was too funny to describe.

As a Mommy, I like this book because it is not just fun and very colorful but it also helps to teach the kid alphabets, numbers, time telling and learn different items in mommy’s purse. There is also a little white board with marker for the kid to draw and write. Although sometimes I wish this book has more pull out items to keep my 2.5 years old occupy for a longer time. It might be a little heavy for a kid under 3 to carry it around since it is made of heavy duty cardboard material. But it will definitely be a good companion for a long road trip.
