Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving which is going to be this coming Friday. Black Friday also marks the start of Christmas shopping. On Black Friday, most stores and shops open very early in the morning. My hubby told me Old Navy will be opening at midnight. Anyone who is still awake at that time after eating the big Thanksgiving dinner should stop by and check out their sales. JC Penny will be opening at 4am on Black Friday. Most other stores will open at 5am. On that day itself, there will be many super deals, morning specials and early bird specials to attract people to their stores. I remember a few years ago, Robinson May (taken over by Macy’s now) was giving out $15 gift cards to the first 100 people to their stores. Of course there were many people in line waiting for these freebies.
Last night when I was watching the news on KTLA Channel 5, it was reported that people have started lining up for Black Friday in front of Best Buy in Riverside. Gosh … that is crazy. It was just Monday and they have to wait for four nights to get to Black Friday as well as spending Thanksgiving Day outside these stores. Hopefully the store will give them a warm Thanksgiving meal on that day. The weather forecast has predicted rain for tonight and tomorrow. These crazy shoppers better be prepared with Berghaus Jackets to protect themselves from the cold and rain. It will be a cold night tonight.

wow, i hope they haven’t spend thanksgiving in that line! this sounds pretty ridiculous. i’m not sure how i feel about black friday… is it really worth the hassle? i’d rather stay home with the kids than get up in the middle of the night to stand in the cold and then fight with hundreds of people. but that’s just me
